Murder at Mudstuck Festival

Over the fifteen years that it has been in existence Mudstuck Festival has grown from a small occasion with a few hundred fans to one of the top annual music festivals in the UK with over 250,000 festival goers descending on the tiny West Country village of Mudstuck. The Festival was the brainchild of blues singer Muddy Fields and features a mixture of established artists and the best new music. Muddy is having an evening of fun and hospitality around the giant campfire. We can all hope that the rain, which caused so many problems in the past, keeps off so that the Mudstuck site doesn't live up to its name.

A great day of motorsport is anticipated when the team from the Top Speed television programme will be hosting an attempt to break the world speed record for a production car. The presenters will be joined by the fastest celebrities in Superstars and Supercars from the last series of Top Speed and representatives from America and Italy, each bringing their own car. Max Speed, presenter of Top Speed, will be hosting the event as well as attempting the world speed record driving a British Bulldog Bugle 8000. All of the presenters and other drivers have chosen which of the three cars they will use to attempt the record. Will someone succeed?

We are gathered here today to celebrate the graduation of the 1000th student to successfully complete the Bachelor of Arts in Detection course put on by our Criminology Department.

Our guest of honour today is to be Professor Morrie R. Tee, the head of the Criminology Department and Master of St Rumpet's. He will be presenting the Degree certificate to Miss Ella Mentary, who will now become Miss Ella Mentary B.A.D.

He will then be presenting Honorary Doctorates to some of our old boys and girls, namely  Miss Marbles M.A.D., Monsieur Hercules Parrott M.A.D. and Inspector Semaphore M.A.D.

Death of a Highwayman

We are all gathered here tonight for a party to celebrate the exploits of Dick Burpin following his famous ride from London to York in a day. This ride provided him with an alibi for a robbery he undertook early one morning as nobody would believe it was possible to be in both London and York on the same day.

Hopefully the legendary highwayman himself will be joining us tonight. He normally checks round to ensure that there are no constables or Bow Street Runners in the vicinity.

On behalf of Le Compagnie International Des Wagons Lits I must apologise for ze heavy breaking and the abrupt stopping of ze train a few moments ago. I have been trying to establish what caused ze train to stop in such an emergency fashion and I have some terrible news....!
